In a moment of not thinking after a long day at work, I put 20 quid’s worth of petrol in my sister’s diesel car, realised my mistake and panicked, then felt embarrassed. Google led us to fuel fix and thankfully it did! 40 mins later Brian was on the job, was calm, friendly, reassured me it was easily done, explained every step of the procedure and ensured the car was fine to drive after about an hour of working on it. Put Unleaded in my Diesel car. Rang for Fleet assistance (company car) who put me in touch with AA. I accidentally put diesel in my petrol Ford Focus as I was in a rush to get home. I got onto the M25 motorway and after a mile the car broke down. I rang my dad, and explained I had broken down. After a few questions, I explained that I had just filled up, realising my mistake; that I had put the wrong fuel in my car. My dad said he would meet me and arrange a recovery truck to tow my car home. As I waited for him I used my Iphone to search the internet for information on misfuelling. I came across a forum room with other people explaining they had the same issue and I notice high recommendations for Fuel Fix. So I rang them and Fuel Fix explained they specialise in removal of incorrect fuel. I inquired if they had a local garage close to where I was situated so we could tow the car to them but was pleasantly surprise to hear they would come to me and drain my car at the roadside Fuel fix arrived in their specialist van to drain and refuel my car with more than enough petrol to get me home. My dad and I were very impressed by Fuel Fix’s service.

I made very big mistake of putting 23 litres of petrol in my Diesel Audi, then drove for about 6 miles until the car started to loose power. I then called the AA, who informed me that my membership did not cover misfulling, and that I would have to pay for the service. Having put £60 of diesel in my petrol car, I was initially quoted £640 by my local garage who said the costs could rise if there was engine damage to my car. I was in complete shock and upset that I made a silly mistake. Very Recommended. They said they would be with me by 4pm but arrived at 2:50pm to get me up and running. The technician came and simply got on with the job, checked the entire car and it’s system, drain, added mechanical parts and refill, and everything has been fine so far. I put 5L of petrol into my disel car but realised my mistake and topped up 10L of disel, then drove home, on the way home the car had cut out then restarted, so I would advise people from my exprience, even if you believe you can just top up and drive, do not risk it, call these guys out and have your car drained and properly checked, I believe I made the right choice, do not listen to forums and things on the net that says to top up and it will be fine. Very happy and very relieved.

I managed to put some diesel in my petrol car due to being distracted and in a rush. A technician came and patiently emptied the tank for me, which was quite a difficult job on this car. Unfortunately some very hard to open sealing nut got broken in the process, which I realised later on. Sometimes things go wrong and what matters is how companies react in this case. I have to say they were outstanding. After giving them a call back, Trevor came to me the same day and attempted a repair, instructing me to check it on the next drive and that he would replace the part if needed. It turned out that it did, but he managed to find the part and to come back to replace it within 48 hours. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Even though I initially thought the price of the emptying service was a bit high, I can say that it was well worth it given the high quality and responsible service offered. I would definitely recommend the company and Trevor for anyone having this kind of misadventure.
